Seek First the Kingdom
What God is saying:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
I spoke those words because I have nothing against my children having things. In fact, just like any loving father, I delight in giving you those things that give you pleasure. At my right hand there are pleasures forevermore and in my presence is fullness of joy. (Psalms 16:11)
The greatest concern I have about giving things to my children is the tendency for things to become their focal point. When that happens, things are never enough to satisfy, therefore, discontentment sets in and they lose their joy. That which was designed to bring pleasure becomes a curse instead.
As long as your priorities remain fixed on the kingdom of God, and as long as you delight in me, I will withhold nothing from you that will bless you.
Godliness with contentment is the greatest gain you can have, all the rest are just extras that come to you as a result of a happy, thankful heart.
Get ready to see my goodness in the land of the living. Due to the law of sowing and reaping, Satan’s kingdom is getting ready to experience more of the curse coming upon it; but if you are in my kingdom you will instead experience blessings. That season is approaching and you will get your share.
